District Awards Process Overhaul

Process designed to be more automated, more transparent

In response to widespread concern about the efficacy of our district’s awards process, we are making significant changes this year.

Governor’s Citation Watch The Video

Each club’s DG Citation form is already on the website and clubs have already started to complete them. Click the link above for a short video on the process, courtesy of Gordon Owens from the Roswell Rotary Club. There is also information available on the How To Use This Site page on the new district website.

Service Projects: Watch The Video

We recommend that clubs start adding their projects to the website now, rather than in a rush at the end. Gordon’s second video (above) explains how to add and update your projects.

Our awards chair, Rene Lanier, is the authoritative source on this year’s process. She is kicking off her “road tour” to educate clubs on all the ins and outs of this year’s process at the Cobb Council meeting next Friday. Don’t hesitate to reach out to Rene with questions.

So far we have gotten lots of positive feedback about the new process, but any new process is bound to have a few glitches. We plan to remain flexible and adapt quickly to the bumps in the road as we encounter them.
